Grand Master Approves Website and Blog

In a telephone conversation, on June 17th, between Most Worshipful Oscar M. Jayme and Raymond Wieckowicz, Jr., Past Grand Master and author of the website Masonic Education and the blog, What Say You?, MW Oscar said that the sites would be good for the Brethren of our Jurisdiction and to go ahead and release them to our Brethren.

He also said to go ahead and get an article to RW Wegener to post in the upcoming issue of the Grand Lodge Newsletter. This I will be more than happy to do. I believe this blog will cause good interchange and conversation between the Brethren on all islands and bring about much good for the Craft. What Say You?

  1. Bravo MW Wieckowicz,

Thank you for creating a website that is not only professional looking but promotes a forum for intelligent conversation from the brethren of this jurisdiction on issues that matter to us all.

I know I myself will be a huge participant. But as this catches on to the brothers of this jurisdiction, I hope all will keep in mind a recommendation from MW Wieckowicz .... please do your research.

This will accomplish many things but two in particular that I am thinking about.

One: by doing research, you just might find the solution to your issue or the answer to the question you were looking for in the first place along with a truck load of other answers along the way and ..

and Two: comments and/or responses will surely have a stronger foundation and thereby greater impact.

Such as, one comment I hear time after time is "I hope that it emanates from the Grand Lodge". Well, just exactly WHO is the Grand Lodge. The voting members of this Grand Lodge include not only the current Grand Lodge Officers line and Past Elective Grand Lodge officers but the Past Masters of this jurisdiction, as well as the current sitting Masters and Wardens of the several chartered and duly constituted Lodges or the representatives thereof duly elected. So when the voting brethren join together as a whole at an Annual Communications to vote on the various issues, whether the voting by these brethren (aka The Grand Lodge) goes one way or another, it indeed emanates "from the Grand Lodge".

The Grand Master has the authority to discharge all the necessary executive functions of the Grand Lodge when that body of the Grand Lodge is not in session. Which grant you is most of the year, but the fact remains that the Grand Lodge officers, on their own, are not the Grand Lodge but rather the Grand Lodge of Hawaii is composed of a much broader scope of leading Masons in this jurisdcition.

So, whether good, bad, or indifferent, our HMC not only emenates and but is molded by us "the Grand Lodge" and we make it what it is.

Thank you again MW Wieckowicz. This venue will definately be one the things that will lead this jurisdiction to into a bright and stable future.

    Aloha,

    Marty Alexander, SGW
